Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal

  I am a bit obsessed with animated television at the moment and I'm loving it. One show that really captivates me is Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal. An animated series that details the life of a caveman and his dinosaur friend as they stay alive in a world full of threats. This film has no talking and the episodes are only 20 minutes. Thats what originally pulled me in, I knew that since there was no speaking I would have to disconnect to really experience the show fully and I loved it.  One thing this show does so well is the animation itself. The shows colors are somewhat mute and bleak at times but the overflow of color in important scenes pulls the audience right back in. The bleak feeling is also a very common theme in the show as death and battle are quite regular.  Another aspect of the show that I love is the realness of it. Gravity Falls

  The hit adventure mystery show Gravity falls debuted on Disney channel in 2012 but continued its development and popularity into 2016-2017. Today Gravity Falls still stands as a Disney channel classic for many reasons, including its light hearted and comedic approach, the confusing and intricate adventures they go on and the life lessons they learn. These themes are very similar to one of my previous posts about regular show and it could just be a theme I enjoy. Creator Alex Hirsch nailed this template and the show doesn’t disappoint.   The main characters Dipper and Mabel are siblings who were sent to live with their crazy Grunkle Stan at his mystery Shack in the woods. The town they live in is Gravity Falls and is known for its mysterious activity including monsters and unexplored realms.
